The workshop aims to explore the concepts, beliefs, and competing ontologies surrounding human reproduction from an interdisciplinary point of view, and to examine and compare the practices and strategies employed for the purpose of manipulation of the process in various past societies and ancient cultures. It is intended to provide a forum for in-depth discussion of the topic and to explore the potential of this topic for a larger, cross-institutional research project.
