I am Dr. in Assyriology, specialized in the History of 1st millennium BC Babylonia, and of the reading of cuneiform texts from this period. I am specialized in history of technics and material culture and I did my PhD on "Textiles in Mesopotamia, 750-500 BC".

Co-oganization, with Terri Tanaka, of a workshop on Identity in Mesopotamia, Sources and Methodology, under the supervision of Pr. Niek Veldhuis (UC Berkeley) and Cécile Michel (CNRS), with the support of the France-Berkeley fund.

The purpose of my researches at the Berliner Antike-Kolleg is to prepare a forthcoming interdisciplinary project on material culture in Mesopotamia, focussing on crafts related to textile making and on the questions of timeframe (manufacturing time and life-cycle of the objects). This project links archaeology and epigraphy, in an interdisciplinary perspective. I am planning to work on cuneiform tablets of the Vorderasiatisches Museum, and to look for textile imprints on tablets. I also wish to work with Eva Cancik-Kirschbaum at the Institut für Altorientalistik of the Freie Universität Berlin (FUB) and to present my results in seminars. My research project enters in the thematic "The textile Revolution" A-4 and "Economy/Oikonomia"B-3 of the Excellence Cluster Topoi and my stay would be an opportunity to creates links with the projects of my laboratory in Nanterre, France.
