Am 18. Februar wurde unter der Leitung der professionellen Trainerin Dr. Nadine Riedl dieser Workshop durchgeführt. Er war Bestandteil jener Maßnahmen, die die BerGSAS noch bis 2027 im Rahmen des Projekts ‚Einstein Foundation Doctoral Program‘ umsetzten wird und bei denen der Fokus auf den unterschiedlichen Aspekten des wissenschaftlichen Publizierens liegt. Dabei geht es sowohl um die digitale Publikation als auch um die traditionelle Weise der Veröffentlichung von Dissertationen in Buchform.
Doctoral students in Germany must publish their dissertation after their defense. But what publication options are there anyway, and which ones make sense for you? How do you find a publisher, and what should you expect in an author contract? What funding options are there for the sometimes considerable printing costs?
The workshop “From Dissertation to Publication: Options and Strategies” will prepare you for the final sprint. You will receive support in selecting the right publication option for you, and you will learn how the publishing process works, which contract and licensing models are available, and how to control costs.
