BerGSAS is successful in international scientific cooperation and offers an attractive exchange programme through agreements with renowned universities with strong research programmes. BerGSAS doctoral researchers have the opportunity to spend a semester or term at one of the partner universities. There, they can attend courses and receive academic supervision. They also gain access to library and research facilities and have the opportunity to join outstanding academic networks. The exchange places (with funding) are advertised internally and are only available to doctoral researchers at BerGSAS.

In return, we welcome doctoral students from partner universities to BerGSAS every year, usually for one semester. They benefit from the BerGSAS training program and the scientific infrastructure in Berlin, as well as from the networking opportunities offered by the Berliner Antike-Kolleg. A guest semester within the BerGSAS international exchange program is not only an academic enrichment of doctoral studies, but also an intercultural one.
