Concept of Space and Landscapes in the Landscapes Surrounding Sassanian Fire-Temples
My research is on Architecture and landscapes of Zoroastrian fire temples in Sasanian Persia. This research focuses on how the Architecture of fire temples was related to the surrounding nature and landscape. The architecture and archaeology of some fire temples as single monuments has been researched before, however little work has been done on the landscapes surrounding these monuments and the relation of architecture with the natural setting in a larger scale. The goal of this research is to find out how the Zoroastrian fire temples were related to the surrounding landscape, natural elements and phenomena.
